## What's next for channel analysts?

This week, hosts [Charlene O'Hanlon](https://www.linkedin.com/in/charleneohanlon), channel industry editor & writer, and [Diane Krakora](https://www.partner-path.com/about/team/diane/), CEO of PartnerPath, discuss the recent professional moves for channel analysts. Do their departures mean anything bigger for channel coverage at large?

Some recent changes in the analyst industry have Diane and Charlene wondering what the future holds for the research space around indirect sales. [Tiffani Bova](https://www.linkedin.com/in/tiffanibova) left [Gartner](http://www.gartner.com/) in March and [Darren Bibby](https://ca.linkedin.com/in/darrenbibby) left [IDC](http://www.idc.com/) in April. Will they be replaced at Gartner and IDC? Will vendors pick up the slack on channel research and analysis? Does the complicated nature of the channel mean future studies will be covered by different organizations?
